Our Story

Some may not have heard the “how we met” story, so we need to turn back to 2004, that is where we shall start. Don is in the Army and moved from Germany to Missouri in August 2004. We both joined E-Harmony, an on-line dating service, and started communicating with each other on November 6, 2004. A few days later Cecilia called Don on her way home from work. As she was driving she found out that Don lived in the same area of Waynesville that she did. As she got closer to home, he told her that he lived by the Church, yes, the same Church by her house. When she stopped at her mailbox she found her car headlights on the front of his house. She wasn’t sure at this point how to tell Don that they were neighbors. Our two backyards were actually touching. How amazing is it that we had to meet online after being neighbors (only two houses separating) for a couple of months. We really believe God had a plan and brought us together. We must have been taking too long to meet in person.

After several months together Don and Cecilia bought a house in St. Robert. After adding a fence and dog door, in March we moved in to what we call “The Castle”. At this point Don knew that he was in Love and wanted to spend his life with her so he asked Cecilia to marry him on the side deck of their new home on April 30, 2005; she said "Yes". May and June were “Meet the Parents” months in Missouri. We were married on July 8, 2006 and continuing on life's path together.
